On July 4th, Uncle Dave, Sarah, and I decided to do the wild thing and go back down to D.C to really have a good celebration in America. They were having a concert right in front of the Capital building with John Williams, Patti Labelle, Phillip Phillips, Jordin Sparks, Michael McDonald, and Sara Evans among others.
We found a good area to stand in the massive crowd and really enjoyed the concert and the night because it was the perfect temperature to be outside and was a really beautiful night. It was such a fun way to spend the 4th of July and we saw some cool fireworks right behind the Washington Monument.
I was very happy with out 4th of July choice of being in the heart of America for it. After the celebration, we met Sandy and Andrew at IHOP and had a good meal before bed.
